I have worked as a Communications Manager in London from 1999-current day.
My extensive PR background has seen me gain national experience in crisis comms in areas as varied as the 2001 Foot and Mouth crisis, Big Brother publicity, the Baby P case, and co-ordinating a visit by the PM Tony Blair to the hospital where I was doing press.
I also organise five-year national strategy plans and national media/stakeholder plans, running borough-wide stakeholder meetings, and co-ordinating websites.
I have also run a team of four or more media officers and deputised for the Head of Comms in his absence.
I have done freelance PR for NSPCC, Corporation of London, Local Government Association, Department of Work and Pensions, Institute of Physics, Chartered Institute of Environmental Health and the British Tourist Authority among others.
Co-ordinated national and international film crews (Sky, ITV, BBC) in order to acheive the best publicity possible.
